I ran out of credits on audible and book Budget. I need more new stuff to read before I start rereading things again. I want to make a big wish List so that I can catch more audible Deals. There are a bunch of books there, but I don't know any of them or even if I should get them. With a Big wishlist, some of the books might fall on the deals.

So, Can I hear your Sci-Fi and Fantasy recommendations? I'll post mine in the next post.

Dresden Files: Great Urban Fantasy. I love the characters, and the world is so interesting.

Iron Druid Chronicles: Same as Dresden but better. Better written and better story, just that Dresden is my fav.

Malazan: Book of the Fallen: This is such a deep deep epic fantasy. The world-building is like nothing I have ever read.

Wheel of Time: Master class Epic Fantasy is a must-read for anybody who likes Epic Fantasies.

Ender's Game: Some people do not like Orson Scott Card (including me), but I can't stop rereading this book and the rest of the series.

American Gods: This counts as fantasy right? This is masterfully written by Gaiman. I really like the characters and the Epic Mythological vibe that it has.

Good Omens: Basically combining the superb comedy of Pratchett with the Epic Mythos of Gaiman. you can't go wrong.

Hyperion Cantos: I believe that this is one of the best Modern Science Fiction Epic Series out there.

Bobiverse Series: This is the best Sci-Fi series for any Engineer and systems engineer out there.

Expeditionary Force: This is the current series I am reading at the moment. It's a Military Sci-Fi that is action-packed, entertaining, and funny. When you read the first book, it's great the first half, and then something happens that makes it even better.

The Three Body Problem, by Cixin Liu, and its sequels. This trilogy was some of the best sci-fi I've read in decades.

Why would you need a church? The world suffices.
Why would you need faith? Experience suffices."

Seconding the above, and if you want a short read you can knock out in a weekend, This Is How You Lose the Time War.

Oh and Le Guin.  One of the book clubs I'm in just read Left Hand of Darkness and I'm now annoyed I didn't re-read it with them.

I have just read Book 1 of the Malazan Book of the Fallen series and quite enjoyed it. I got the 10 Books of that series, plus 7 other books in the extended Malazan universe in a Humble Bundle for AU$27 which was a bargain. It will keep me going for a few years.

I'll third "The Three Body Problem" series.

I see you like The Dresden Files. I'd recommend a similar series about a British detective who becomes a wizard investigating the paranormal and supernatural like Harry Dresden. That is "The Rivers of London" series by Ben Aaronovitch. There is a lot to read. 9 novels. 3 Novellas. 10 Graphic novel series. and over 20 shorter stories/moments.

My other recommendations are:

"Children of Time" by Adrian Tchaikovsky.

"Bitter Seeds" by Ian Tregellis. "It's 1939. The Nazis have supermen, the British have demons, and one perfectly normal man gets caught in between"

"The Blade itself" by Joe Abercrombie. Book 1 of "The First Law" series .

"Promise of Blood" by Brian McClellan. First book of the Powder mage series.

"The Sparrow" by Mary Doria Russell

"A Darker Shade of Magic" by V.E Schwab

"Helliconia Spring" by Brian Aldiss

"The Strange Case of the Alchemist's Daughter" by Theodora Goss

"An Unkindness of Ghosts" by Rivers Solomon

"The Calculating Stars" by Mary Robinette Kowal

"Parable of the Sower" by Octavie E. Butler

"Pandora's Star" & "Judas Unchained" by Peter F. Hamilton (The 2 books are one continuous story)

If you want to get a lot of SFF recommendations. I am a member of an online/podcast SFF book club that has been running since 2007. We read a different book each month alternating between Sci-Fi & Fantasy. We have a forum where members discuss not only the Book of the Month, but everything that we are reading. I get a lot of good books to read from these discussions.

It is called 'Sword and Laser" and is run by 2 well known Tech journalists/podcasters etc (Veronica Belmont & Tom Merritt). I am a moderator on their forum.

We are currently reading our 171st book "China Mountain Zhang" by Maureen F. McHugh

It may be a guilty pleasure, but I like the Dresden books too. They are a fun read and I can use a little escapism once in a while.
My name is gcason and I approved this message.

I just bought this series.  Trying to find time to begin reading it.

Has anybody mentioned The Hail Mary Project by Andy Weir? He's a very engaging writer, and this book for me was tremendously entertaining.

I really liked it. I didn't like Artemis though, so I was wary going into this book. But it has the same Vibe the the Martian which I also liked a lot.
