I like sledge hockey. I don't find that game boring in the least.

Quote from: daniel1948 on September 22, 2023, 11:22:38 AMThese were just some guys that got together for a casual game, so there was no brawling. (I gather that brawling is the main point of professional ice hockey.)

While brawling is part of the game it is not as prevalent as it used to be. The league has clamped down on it and it will happen but usually for a reason. Like a cheap shot or someone taking liberties with a member on our team.

In the late 1970's and early 1980's in rural North Dakota I was able to pick up the Winnipeg CBC station on AM radio. Everything I "know" about ice hockey comes from those years. Then a TV station installed a broadcast tower some 3 or 4 miles from my house, and the harmonics from that transmitter completely overwhelmed the weak AM signal from Winnipeg.
