To be clear, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. For some people, food preparation is a pleasure, a pastime to be indulged and enjoyed whenever possible. For others, it's an annoying delay to the necessary function of getting nutritional calories in one's gullet. It's okay either way.

Personally, I'm a little bit of both.

Exactly. I was talking about what's meant by a "foodie."

Maybe this forum, for the sake of honesty, and for better attracting the kind of people the clique wants, should simply change its name and profile?
I have tried to honestly engage with you for 10 years. You are unable to do so. I am done trying.

Indeed, you are correct that we should put up a sign warning that right-wing assholes are unwelcome.

First of all, I would not be considered right-wing by American standards. The problem is that on this forum, anyone to the right of Mao Zedong is considered right-wing.

Secondly, a skeptical forum does not have an ideological purity entry test. Heck, even believers in pseudoscience and denialists (which we have a fair of on the forum) are welcome to participate.

BTW, I'd never heard of a microwave pressure cooker before.

Google offered this tidbit:

QuoteWhy don't chefs use pressure cookers?

They are most commonly used in industrial settings to quickly prepare meat or stocks. However, in most scenarios, Elite Chefs avoid using pressure cookers because they provide less control over the final dish.

"Foodie" refers to anyone who takes special pleasure in food prepared well. It makes no judgement about the food. Being a foodie doesn't mean that you like the same food as someone else. Just that you take pleasure in well-prepared food.

The fact that you just dump all the food into one container and nuke it suggests to me that you're not particular about food preparation. You just want it to be easy to make, and easy to clean up afterwards.

Living alone and having plenty of free time, I don't find meal prep, cooking, and clean-up to be a bother. I just ate a really delicious cauliflower, tofu, and brown rice curry. After the dishes soak for a bit it will take me five minutes to wash everything.
